The material

This is the first true step into Opsin Big Game, but it should still fish clean. The slow Japanese extrusion keeps the 0.93 mm profile uniform and the surface smooth, so the leader moves naturally, seats predictably in the right sleeve, and does not bring extra bulk to the bait.
You get real 100 lb leader performance in a profile that still lets you fish a sardine, mackerel, or big bait without turning the leader into the presentation.

What sleeve should I use with Opsin 100 lb?
Size the sleeve to the measured diameter, not just the pound-test. Opsin 100 lb is 0.93 mm. Diamondās published guide places its Aluminum Silver Lock M sleeve at 1.1 mm for 0.75ā1.0 mm mono or fluorocarbon, making it the cleanest first bench test.
The sleeve should thread without shaving the leader and should not feel sloppy before compression. Match it to the manufacturerās crimper cavity and pull-test the finished leader.
Diamond Silver Lock M Ā· 1.1 mm
Diamond publishes the M sleeve for 0.75ā1.0 mm mono or fluorocarbon with its Mini-Press and CN-10 guides. At 0.93 mm, it is the cleanest documented starting point.
Alternate 1.1 mm aluminum oval
Only use an alternate sleeve when its manufacturer publishes a diameter range that covers 0.93 mm. Treat it as a separate setup: match the cavity, reset pressure, and pull-test.
Deckhand note: At 0.93 mm, do not size the sleeve from the 100 lb label alone. If the leader takes force to thread, stop. If it swims inside the sleeve before crimping, the fit is too loose. Test the exact leader, sleeve, tool, and pressure you plan to fish.
Should I choose 30 m or 110 m?
The 30 m coil is the clean choice for a trip bag or a handful of leaders. The 110 m crew coil drops the cost per metre and makes sense when you rig often, carry backups, or prep for a full season.
How should I store the coil?
Keep it clean, dry, and out of prolonged light and heat. Return the coil to the UV-blocking metallized bag between trips and avoid kinking it under hard tackle.
