What sleeve should I use with Opsin 170 lb?
Size the sleeve to the measured diameter, not the pound-test. Opsin 170 lb is 1.28 mm. Diamond’s Mini-Press guide places its 1.3 mm LL Silver Lock sleeve at 1.1–1.4 mm mono or fluorocarbon, making it the cleanest first bench test.
The 1.3 mm L sleeve also covers 1.28 mm in Diamond’s published Mini-Press range. Treat each sleeve and tool combination as its own setup and pull-test the finished leader.

Diamond publishes the LL sleeve for 1.1–1.4 mm mono or fluorocarbon in its Mini-Press guide. At 1.28 mm, it is the cleanest documented starting point.

Deckhand note: A sleeve marked for another brand’s 170 lb may not fit 1.28 mm Opsin the same way. Thread it cleanly, keep the sleeve ends clear, reset the tool for the exact combination, and test the rig you plan to fish.
Should I choose 30 m or 110 m?
The 30 m coil is the clean choice for a trip bag or a handful of leaders. The 110 m crew coil drops the cost per metre and makes sense when you rig often, carry backups, or prep for a full season.
How should I store the coil?
Keep it clean, dry, and out of prolonged light and heat. Return the coil to the UV-blocking metallized bag between trips and avoid kinking it under hard tackle.
